2020 Vision was founded in the year 2020 by Marvin Robinson. Marvin is deeply committed to giving back to the community and making a lasting impact on youth. He has a passion for uplifting and empowering young individuals. Marvin is a devoted husband, proud father of four children, and a loving grandfather who understands the importance of investing into the next generation.
Marvin retired from a distinguished 26 1/2-year career in law enforcement as an employee of the state of California. Marvin has held pivotal roles that assist and positively impact the community. His academic background is in Administrative Justice, with certifications in Drug Counseling, Parenting Education, Gang Intervention Awareness, and Strengthening Multi-Ethnic Families and Communities. His dedication to serving the community includes volunteer work, supporting local government, and collaborating with reputable organizations to support youth development and mentorship programs. Marvin has been recognized for his commitment by the cities of Cerritos and Long Beach as well as winning multiple State Agent of the Year awards.
As a visionary community leader, Marvin enjoys motivational speaking and is committed to fostering positive change. Through 2020 Vision, Marvin aims to create a brighter future by empowering today's youth and nurturing the next generation of leaders. The organization's impactful programs, include the Annual Backpack Giveaway, Christmas Toy Giveaway, Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway, Transitional Housing Programs, and Annual Care Package Giveaway to the unhoused. 2020 Vision has designed these events to support and uplift those in need in the community.
